Doctor visit and road trip!

I got to see Dr. Larry today! I've had a swollen lymph node behind my ear for a couple weeks that mommy wanted him to take a look at. Great news - it's something most newborns get and it's no big deal. What was even more fun was that I got to find out how big I'm getting. I'm already 9 lbs, 6 oz. and 22 3/8 in. long! I feel like that's really big but guess what? That's almost the exact size mommy was when she was born!! Only she was 22 in. long. Still, I feel sorry for grandma Novak! Gosh mommy! 
So after the good news that my lymph node was nothing to worry about, mommy and I headed home to pack because we're headed to Chicago this weekend with daddy and grandpa and grandma Schuring, to see uncle Vance and aunt Alysha! I can't wait. It's my first of what mommy and daddy have assured me will be many out-of-state trips. I think we're going to go to the zoo or maybe the aquarium (because daddy's never been there, even though grandma thinks he has). :) And I want to go downtown to see all the tall buildings. If I'm anything like mommy, I think I'm going to love the city! So I'll show you some pictures below of our road trip to Chicago and post more pictures of the trip later.
