Saturday with Grandpa & Grandma Schuring!

Yesterday, grandpa and grandma Schuring came to Des Moines to see us and to celebrate Father's Day. We had all kinds of fun and it was great to be able to celebrate daddy's first Father's day with his daddy. Grandma and grandpa drove up nice and early and the five of us do what mommy, daddy and I always do on Saturday mornings....we went to the Farmer's Market downtown Des Moines. Mommy and daddy got their usual pupusas and then we walked around looking at the vendors and sampling all kinds of food. Grandpa even bought a dutch pastry from Vander Ploeg's bakery which is based in their hometown of Pella. After walking around for a while, we headed back to our place to cool down and because I was hungry :) Plus, grandpa and daddy took little baby naps while we waited for me to finish my mid-morning snack. Then we headed to Bauder's pharmacy for lunch and for their $0.99 root beer floats. After lunch, mommy and daddy drove grandpa and grandma around looking at houses in some really nice neighborhoods that mommy and daddy and I could potentially live near in the future. Some of the houses are really nice and mommy seems to like the really BIG houses daddy says :) After a while, it was time for my mid-afternoon snack and everyone headed back to our place before saying goodbye. For Father's Day, mommy, daddy and I got grandpa a card and a picture of grandpa and I. He loved it and it should make a great addition to all his pictures in his bedroom. Speaking of pictures, enjoy some of the pictures from the day below.
